Adam Berkowitz

Adam Berkowitz is an attorney of Dacheng Law Offices at San Francisco and is a member of the firm's corporate group. He represents companies and high net-worth clients with a focus on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance and asset management. He is admitted to practice in the State of New York and Oregon.

Prior to joining Dacheng, Mr. Berkowitz worked as an independent consultant on microfinance, technology and international development projects. His cross-sector industry experience prior to joining Dacheng Law Offices allows him to approach client matters from a unique perspective. He received his B.A. from Tufts University with a major in economics and a minor in communications. Following college, Mr. Berkowitz moved to New York to work in real estate opening an office in lower Manhattan specializing in luxury rental properties, and later as a securities broker with Oppenheimer & Co. After deciding to pursue a career in law, Mr. Berkowitz attended Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, his hometown. While in law school, Mr. Berkowitz worked in the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office arguing motions, negotiating plea agreements, and prosecuting misdemeanor crimes. Following law school, Mr. Berkowitz moved to Buenos Aires, where he worked as a financial journalist and with an Argentine law firm working on international commercial transactions. In 2010, Mr. Berkowitz returned to the U.S. to attend the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy where he received his LLM in international law.
